What this is
A data-quality aid. It compares the text you provide against the stop-word list published by the European Commission in Introduction of Stop Words/Phrases in the Common Repository (TAXUD.A.3.003/TA), and applies basic format checks to HS codes. It tells you what that list says about your text.
What this is not
- Not customs advice and not a customs representative service. It does not classify goods, and a passing result is not an opinion that your declaration is correct.
- Not a filing tool. It never transmits anything to ICS2 or any customs authority. Responsibility for the declaration remains entirely with the declarant.
- Not affiliated with the European Commission, DG TAXUD, or any customs administration.
Accuracy and its limits
The rule data is transcribed from the published Commission document and checked weekly against the source for changes. Even so:
- The Commission can change the list at any time, and enforcement dates can move. A result reflects the list version stated on the main page, not necessarily the list in force at the moment you file.
- Acceptance of a declaration depends on far more than stop words. A clean result here does not predict acceptance.
- The list is described by the Commission as non-exhaustive, so a description can be rejected as too vague without containing any listed term.
The tool is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for customs decisions, delays, demurrage, penalties or other losses arising from use of or reliance on it. If you spot a wrong result, please report it — that feedback is more useful than any disclaimer.

The underlying stop-word list is a public European Commission document and is reproduced here for the purpose of checking declarations against it. The compilation, structure, enforcement-date data and software are the work of this project.
